For Channel 67 Online you need to have Windows Media Media Player 9 or greater, running on a Windows PC using Windows XP with Service Pack 2. In order that you can be identified by our systems you should only use Internet Explorer 6 or 7 to navigate through the Channel 67 pages, otherwise you may not be able to view live matches. You will also need a dialup or broadband connection for live commentary, a broadband connection is recommended for video archive material. Unfortunately Channel 67 Online does not support the Apple Mac or Unix operating systems.
For Channel 67 Online+ you need to have Windows Media Media Player 9 or greater, running on a Windows PC using Windows XP with Service Pack 2. In order that you can be identified by our systems you should only use Internet Explorer 6 or 7 to navigate through the Channel 67 pages, otherwise you may not be able to view live matches. You will also need a broadband connection of at least 512 Kbps for access to the live and archived video. Unfortunately Channel 67 Online+ does not support the Apple Mac or Unix operating systems.
For Channel 67 Premium you need to have a PC with a minimum of an Athlon or Pentium 4 processor running at 2.6Ghz, 2GB of RAM and a 256MB graphics card. The PC should be running Windows XP with Service Pack 2, Media Player 10 or 11 and Internet Explorer 6 or 7. An uncontested broadband connection with a sustained download rate of 2Mbps to access the high bandwidth Premium content. Channel 67 Premium does not support any operating system other than Windows XP SP2 with the specified software.
To get Channel 67 Online+ or Channel 67 Premium you must live ouside of the UK AND Ireland, you must only connect to the live matches from outside the UK & Ireland. In order that we can comply fully with these restrictions, we are aiming to ensure that only those from outside those areas can use it. Therefore we require that you sign up for Channel 67 Online+ or Channel 67 Premium with a credit card from the country in which you are domiciled. In addition, if you attempt to connect to a Channel 67 Online+ or Channel 67 Premium stream from within the proscribed areas (we can verify this by the IP address of your computer), you will be denied access to the stream.
There are several website that will check your connection speed. These will give an indication of the actual speed rather than the 'up to' speed given by some ISPs. ThinkBroadband is a UK website which offers a speed test applet.
In the TOOLS|OPTIONS|PERFORMANCE panel on the player, turn off automatic speed detection and choose the T1 (1.5Mbps) setting to ensure that Media Player has reserved enough bandwidth for the stream. You should then select buffering and input 60 for the number of seconds to buffer.
In the TOOLS|OPTIONS|PERFORMANCE panel on the player, select automatic speed detection. You should then select buffering and input 30 for the number of seconds to buffer, if you encounter buffering during a match you should increase this number. You should turn down video acceleration as well.
We will use Windows Media V9 for both audio and video to stream the matches. The video stream for Channel 67 Online+ is broadcast in a mutlistream format to allow for network congestion. Channel 67 Premium video is broadcast at 1200Kbps, though allowing for network overheads a continuous connection rate of 2Mbps is required. Any change in those formats will be notified to subscribers two weeks in advance.
This can happen because of a slow connection. Remember however that these matches have been optimised to be viewed by broadband connection. If you are using a dial-up connection (56kbps) or ISDN (100kbps) you will be able to hear the match, and see intermittent still pictures. For the best viewing experience, we recommend that you view the content over a broadband connection. If in doubt, please check the connection you have with your Internet Service Provider.
Yes, but you are only allowed to use one connection at a time. Simultaneous logons from different computers can result in suspension of your account with no possibility of a refund.
If you feel that you have been unable to view the event due to issues with our service, please send an email to webhelp@celticfc.com.Please enclose any screenshots of the problems you've encountered if possible, or details of the steps you've taken and what has happened.
The Channel 67 Online+ content is multi-streamed. Sometimes the WMP tries to be too clever in streaming the content at too high a bit-rate. If you go into the options panel on the player, tell it that you have a lower connection than you have. The advertised speeds on your ISP do not apply to external internet content anyway, so the speed of what you get will be much slower. Turning down to the 384kbps will still give you good quality. You should turn down video acceleration as well.
This means that we cannot tell who you are when you try and watch a match. In most cases this will mean that you are not allowing the pages to read or write cookies. We can't say for sure what is causing this on your machine, we can only say that your machine is preventing cookies from being read or written by the Celtic site.
It may be because you have recently installed a personal security program or software or hardware firewall, or you have a new router installed at home.
Many of these programs err so much on the side of safety that they prevent access to safe content. A solution would be to configure the program / router / firewall to allow unfettered access to the Celtic site.

Cookies in themselves do not identify the individual user, just the computer used. Many sites do this whenever a user visits their site, in order to track traffic flows. Users have the opportunity to set their computers to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time, although this of course means that certain personalised services cannot then be provided to that user.
