Community And Coaching

Making a Difference!

Celtic in the Community was launched in July 2003. Since the inception of the programme over 1.5 million young children, youths and adults have attended various projects including holiday courses, weekly training sessions and the team programme. Our programmes provide opportunities for children, youths and adults regardless of their ability, race, religion, colour or gender. The participants who have taken part have all one thing in common they are all ‘fitba daf't’.

Players wanting to become the next Aiden McGeady, have the opportunity to improve their skills and techniques, in a safe and fun environment under the auspices of Celtic’s excellent team of Community and Academy Coaches.

The Celtic Community Academy delivers coaching sessions at venues throughout Scotland and Ireland.  The Club has also delivered courses in North America, Canada, Germany, Cyprus, Japan, South Africa and Australia.  The Club has over 65 qualified Coaches delivering fun and meaningful coaching sessions to those involved.

Mission Statement

The Celtic Community Academy programme aim is to engage with all sectors of the Community and provide a high quality, reputable coaching service that works with local communities to expose in particular participants to a coaching and development programme that is both enjoyable and educational.

Services / Products

Celtic Community Academy through its unique coaching programme(s) intends to differentiate its service and products via the following:

  • through its people and staff
  • through its facilities and locations
  • through its processes - superior coaching programmes to meet specific markets

The various programmes and courses provide opportunities for participants to practice their skills and meet new friends, in addition to the club identifying talented participants for the Academy.

Many of our coaches that work in the Community Academy also work at the Youth Academy in Glasgow, this ensures continuity for the players when and if they progress into the Celtic Youth Academy.

The satisfaction you get from seeing participants having fun and mastering new skills is also very rewarding. The Celtic Foundation is grateful for the support provided by our partners (listed below).
