Stephen McManus
• Nicknamed 'Mick', after the wrestler 'Mick McManus', the centre-back made his Celtic debut against Hibernian in March 2004 when the Hoops won 4-0 at Easter Road.
• He has gone on to make a total of 145 appearances for Celtic, including 108 in the league, scoring 15 goals. His strike tally included four in the 2007/08 title-winning season.
• His most recent goal was against Hibs at Celtic Park on May 11 in an important 2-0 victory.
• In the summer of 2007 he was appointed captain at the age of 24, Celtic’s youngest captain since Billy McNeill.
• Stephen has also been capped 13 times for Scotland, was captain of the national side in the recent friendly against Croatia and has scored one international goal.
• A slight knock which ruled him out of the game against Motherwell on May 3 last year ended a run of 56 Celtic consecutive starts for the club.
